Why it is called Wall mounted or split air conditioner ?

"Air conditioner on the wall", or "wall mounted air conditioner", these are the common names we are using. How does it works?

When the air conditioner is cooling, the compressor compresses and discharges the high-temperature, high-pressure gaseous refrigerant to the condenser. The axial flow fan sucks in outdoor air, cools the condenser, and discharges the hot air at the same time. The high-pressure liquid refrigerant from the condenser passes through the connecting pipe and capillary tube of the indoor and outdoor units. After the pressure is reduced, the liquid separator head sprays into the evaporator to evaporate, absorbing the heat in the indoor circulating air and vaporizing. The low-pressure refrigerant vapor passes through the low-pressure pipe in the middle. After overheating, the compressor sucks in and compresses it into high-pressure steam, and then repeats the above process. The air circulating through the evaporator surface is cooled and blown into the room by the centrifugal evaporator fan, causing the room temperature to drop.
